CAPAM International Innovations Awards 1998

The Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management (CAPAM) has established a new award for innovations in Commonwealth countries. Its purpose is to promote new initiatives in government reform in the 53 Commonwealth countries.

The theme for the first Innovations Award is "Service to the Public". Focusing on the quality of the innovation, not just the quality of the initiative, the Award will acknowledge initiatives that are making changes: creating new ways of delivering service or altering the way service provision is conducted.

Entrants must be a member of CAPAM and follow the rules and criteria of the Award. Ten finalists will be selected to present their innovations to the delegates at the 1998 CAPAM Biennial Conference in Malasia September 6-9, 1998. Submissions will also be featured in CAPAM's newsletter, Commonwealth Innovations.

Please Note: The deadline for submissions has been extended to March 31, 1998.
