Arie Halachmi earned his doctoral degree in Policy Sciences with Distinction in 1972. He is the author of more than fifteen academic books and hundreds of chapters and scholarly articles. Some of his work has been translated and republished in more than a dozen other languages. He served as a consultant to public and not for profit agencies at all levels of government in the USA and more than twenty other countries in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. His work and academic achievements earned him many awards and accolades in the USA and abroad. Currently he holds the rank of Professor at Tennessee State University (USA) and Research Professor at the Center for Public Administration Research at Sun Yat Sen University (China). Professor Halachmi is a pracademician (A practitioner who became an academician)with a rich track record in public sector performance, program evaluation and policy analysis.
