Angela Bate is a participant in the Government of Canada’s Management Trainee Program, currently on assignment with the Atlantic Fisheries Policy Review and Fisheries Management Renewal team at Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) in Ottawa. Her previous assignments in the program included working as a policy officer with the Task Force on Modernizing Human Resource Management in the Public Service and as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Secretary for Plans and Consultation, at the Privy Council Office. Prior to joining the MTP, she worked as a Science and Technology Policy analyst at Industry Canada and the National Research Council.

In 2002-03, Angela is the Chair of the Forum for Young Professionals in the Federal Public Service. Angela holds undergraduate degrees in History and Chemistry from Queen’s University and a Masters Degree in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa.
